1. Select a Topic for a Website
One of the first efforts in planning your website is to decide what your site is going to be about. Brainstorm ideas and pick the best one. List your hobbies and areas of interest. Are there some that you have a fair amount of knowledge and could fill a need for information? You may want to search the web to see how much is already out there on the topic. Is there an area not being covered by available information on the web where there is an obvious need for the information? Do you have new information that can compliment what is already out there or a different slant on existing information? Effort spent on website planning pays dividends later.
